My 2nd visit to US consulate

After the debacle of my 1st visa experince, i thought of not to apply for visa anymore......but my dear cousin's success tempted me to do so again....I left to bangalore to join back to the job and then was in choas whether to apply or not for another time.....thought of giving it a try along with Samar ( annai ).....

So we 3 ( Me,Samar & Vijay( samar's bro )) left from bangalore.....i was very curious to get the visa and sam left it to destiny and was not much excited.....after reaching chennai early in the morning, got refreshed at coimbeed ( not sure of spelling ),and left to visa office.............it was 7:30 in the morning and i remembered there is some prob with my documentation which needs to be corrected and started searching for internet cafe near by......after a struggle of 1 hr i managed to find one with inkjet printer ( i was looking only for inkjet) and got the document corrected and left to consulate.( Initially i thought of not show the document and avoid the correction)........Sam interview was scheduled before me ....he went in and got his visa, but fate agian played spoilt with me and i was rejected for the second time... :)..... i was not discourage or happy....but was feeling good that Dr.Sam got his visa...

It was 11AM by the time we got out of consulate and planned to visit a friend of vijay.....called him and started to his home...it was more than a exhaustive 1 hr travel in scorching sun....atlast when we reached....prepared some good food and had lunch with proper andhra curry n dal. after noon,we jus went for a walk for a coffee and i got a call that i got selected to a s/w company in baroda and they want me to report within 15 days from then......i was excited and confused at that time....

couple of days passed on and i got into another company....and it went on......till i joined another company before joining my dream company IBM :)

My un/succesful dream of US Visa

Let me begin with the first instance when i wished to travel to US, but couldn't....never felt bad on that as i believe in " If fate means you to lose, give it a good fight anyhow " is the other way to pacify ourself that whatever happens for us is for our good and much more good things are ahead of us....and..... my first try for a Visa was on 31Dec04. i was a bit nervrous and excited travelling to chennai for my visa interview....with the blessings of my family and wishes from friends ....started my way along with my pal Dr.Kiran. 3 days before i started, there was a tsunami in chennai which abonded and destroyed lot of habitats and people were force to move out of the places.........it was one of the pleasing experience listening to the cry of the people who were looking out for food n shelter on TV News.

I managed to get to the traveller ( I guess its Jabbar Travel from Nampally ). it was scheduled to departure at 6:30, as it is evident that it wil take couple of hours more to depart.not to take a chance as i expereinced many times, whenever i'm early or on time, there will be delay from other side and when i'm late,it would have already left.... :) ( wil let u the incidents late in another blogs ). I managed to have some hyd biryani ( my fav dish, which i usually have when leaving hyd as i miss it and dont find it in other places) and was to travel agent by 6:20.asusually the bus has not yet arrived, thought of goin for a irani chai to refresh as it was a very hard day travelling for all documentation work, consultants ( Lepakshi..our official stationary supplier for US documentation n stamps ),crossed the road and had a tea.I felt refreshed and started back to bus-stop. it was 7:30 and the bus is flooded with loads of shipping on the top and took another 30 mins to finish...and started to move by 8PM.

much to my dismay and irritation,it was halted again at afzal gunj and took another 45 mins to start...so officially our strip started at 8:45 PM. though the bus journey was very inconvenient, i choose it paying more ( for Rs.650 ) as it was a very short time we had to prepare before we left.

Journey was quite boring and there was no other option than sleeping as a tamil action flick is on the air and couldnt digest that. atlast when i opened my eyes its reached nellore ( i guess sullurper ) early inthe morning, after a couple of min's it halted at a hotel,we had a idli and then started our journey....again i jus had a nap for sometime....and when i realised some hot waves fiercing thorugh the window gap, chennai is our next destination and is jus 15 KM.

I managed to talk to the driver to get us near chennai central, which is easy for moving to any other place. ( I was to chennai couple of times earlier, but it was a diff place to imagine ). atlast he dropped us at guindy and left. the place was irresistable with the heat and the weather though it was winter, i was sweating a lot than i used to during hot summers in hyd. called a auto to central and was shocked at the fare he told...it was a auto charging Rs350 to central from guindy....gosh...i fainted for a min and before i can re-exist , another auto driver hav favoured me with a Rs.100 discount to Rs.250...left with no other option travelled to chennai central. i was out of my mind looking at the crowd over station as it was flooded with the victims of Tsunami and traveller's.....road side vendor's,beggers, taxi n autowala....along with police...... we had a gang of two more Doctor's ( Ragidi n dociroki ) joining us at chennai........atlast we managed to meet and was moving towards the consulate to look for a hotel....on the way,we met another doctor from Hyd,who has finished his medicine from Shadan college. we all planned to take a logde at one place and on the way auto driver took us to a economy lodge ( Amman Illam ).we settled down, got refreshed and had lunch ( the first horrible lunch i had in chennai ). came back and was discussing and laughing at our plights during travel and all the documentaiton work....ragidi was reciting the question n answers he prepared for visa interview.... we jus roamed around towards the consulate office to find the appropriate time and other things to be taken care before we move out of our room.

Atlast D'day has come.....we were very excited and was sure of getting visas as it was 31st Dec an d chances are more open and it was a friday ( last working day of the year ).Ragidi was the first person to getin to the consulate after security check in. his scheduled time was 8:00 - 8:15and mine was 8:30 - 8:45. we were anxious about ragidi's smile and a V sign, much to our dismay...he was jus managed to come out without any smile or enthu on his face......our excitement dropped to minimum ( infact 0 ). me and dociraki followed ragidi......without any visa and was very disappointed......jus managed to keep us the good time, sitting on the wall near bus stop and commenting on the people coming out of consulate.) it was really enjoiable moments eventhough we didnt got visa....we were waiting and curious atleast Dr.Gopal will succeed in getting a visa.....meanwhile we saw a guy who was not dressed properly., guess he didnt take bath or washed his face even.....coming out of consulate and smilling and jumping all the way......it was really a bad thing to digest and we felt ashamed looking at him.....then jus to pass on our failure at someone......we left it to fate n destiny.......

gopal came back disappointed....it was understood......and we all left to room and packed the things......as it was Dec'31 we thought of doing something funny rather than sitting in a passenger train back to hyd....so we left the train at sullurpet ( Dr.Kiran's twin brothers were doin B.Tech der ) and then had some drink and was to a local dhaba.......:)

Early in the morning,we managed to get 4 bikes and started our journey to Srikalahasti for lord blessings......and then back to home.....and to Nellore.it was my first trip to nellore, we had some sweets and ice cream from famous babu's shop...boarded a brand new bus of Naveen Travels ( it was introduced on the very same day for travel)............we jus closed our eyes and was in deep sleep and believe me.....when we opened our Eyes.....we were in Ameerpet..( the ride and bus was so gooood that we didnt had any problem or uneasy in travelling ). the driver gave us a new year calender with lorg Ganesha Portrait when we got out of bus...............

This travel and the curiosity for getting visa was really a memorable one....the dream of applying to US was a mix of thoughts ( succesful and motivation things one hand and disappointing news on the other..)

This journey of excitement followed till 31stMay2005.....which was my 2nd visit for my visa interview
